Monday Greetings Challange

I am so sorry for not posting this earlier. I thought I had done one in advance as I usually do but for some reason I have not done this for this week.

This weeks challenge theme is ANYTHING GOES and I am the host for this week. For myself and my fellow DT friends we have two sponsors this week as well. Monday Greetings 2 Cards Challenge

Good morning my crafty people,

It’s another Monday and you know that means Monday Greetings Challenge at The Outlawz.

This week we the DTs got two sponsors to do cards for and boy was that a fun thing to do. First off the theme this week is: Furry and Funny. Our first sponsor is Dr Digi where I chose to use Mood Music, and the Prize is 2 image to win.The second sponsor is QKR and the image is called Sitting Pretty and the Prize is 5 image to win.

I thought it was a nice challenge with a fun theme. It is always hard when you have a theme that you have to follow, but sometimes it’s a challenge to get it work with the images you have gotten from the sponsors. I think it is hard to come up with themes and always get blank in my head when I have to choose for future challenges.

So, I hope you will come and join in on our lovely challenge this week and get a chance to win some lovely images from our Sponsors this week.

Oh, I almost forgot, starting May month I am also a DT for Morgan’s ArtWorld. It’s going to be so exciting and I am looking forward to be on their team as well. I will leave you with my cards from this weeks challenge.

KennyK Stamps GDT

Hello again,

I’ve got some exciting news to tell you all. I got an email where I was asked to be a GDT for three months starting now in April. Of course I was honored and happy and said Yes.

I am now officially the GDT for KennyKStamps for the next coming three months, starting today.

For this month it was a challenge I tell you. Not only was it a background but two wonderful images of men. I got started on the background, and I have to tell you, I had to Google wine basements to get an idea and to color combinations.

I also was challenge with the chair since it is English styled chair and how to make it look right. I love when I get to challenge myself and have to get out of my comfort zone.

I will edit this post when I’ve gotten the paper with all my colors I’ve used for this project. (I am currently doing this draft on my phone away from home).

I will leave you with this months images over at KennyKStamps where I have used the Wine Cellar background and Sophisticated Gentleman, I chose to use SG at the opposite from the original to fit in. The will be a bundle of the images so please grab them and join in on the fun.

Monday Greetings Challenge

Wow, another Monday has started and where did the weekend go? It went by so fast but yet I was able to do quite a lot. 

So it’s time for our weekly challenge over at The Outlawz. This weeks theme is: Let there be sky (somewhere) on your project. Our sponsor this week is Kitty Bee Design. I chose to use the Kite Fun Panda.

No corners on your project

We have another week coming and of course another challenge at Monday Greetings Challenge at The Outlawz. This weeks theme is: No corners on your project. The sponsors for this week is Digitals4Joy with a cute little image called Spring has Sprung.

What a great name of the image when Spring is on it’s way. Here in Sweden, the southern part at least, Spring has started to come slowly, sun is shining, warmer weather during the day, leaves starting to bloom out and Spring flowers are showing here and there.

I was at first a bit confused with the theme: No corners on your project, but I got stuck in the whole no corners and did not think out of the box. I got brain freeze so to speak and thought how am I going to do a card with no corners. But then it dawned on me and I lit up like a light bulb. How silly of me not to understand the theme from the beginning.

I started to draw the image and when I was done I thought that why not do a whole outdoor scene while at it so I just started to make the sky etc. It was fun but scary that I would mess up and have to do it all over again. Why am I so afraid? So what if you make mistakes, you learn by them. This time I was taking my time and just colored a little at a time.

So KennyKStamps has this image as a freebie for all ClubKennyK Facebook members. If you are not a member or have signed up for their newsletter you are missing out. So hurry and sign up now for getting freebies and other special promotions. 

ClubKennyK has an ongoing challenge on their Facebook group with this month freebies. I chose to use Da Bomb as my entry, but may color the other digi up as well. I tried to even do my own background and tried out drawing some graffiti. I really liked how the graffiti turned out. 

I have used the following Promarker colors:

Spottie Hottie KennyK

I have to share with you some awesome news. Not a April Fools Day joke!!

Elena from KennyK Stamps contacted me the other day. I had been chosen to become April’s Spottie Hottie for April 1st on their blog. She had chosen my card I special made for my friend who wanted to give her best friend a special card.

She loved the way I had chosen Vicki Lee Vicious Goth Girl and the background Rooftop Skyline.I can’t tell you in words how happy I am and honored. So if you hop on over to KennyK Stamps Blog and read her lovely words.I hope I can inspire some people and maybe it is your card that will be the next Spottie Hottie card of the month.

Fore…

This time I had the privilege to be GDT over at Morgan’s Art.

So the image from Morgan’s Art is called Sports 5 and it was a pleasure to color it. The theme was: “for the men” and what more appropriate to make a golfers card. I have so many friends that plays golf and majority, unfortunately, are men. I hope you all liked the way I colored it and get inspired of doing a card like this on your own. I had applied to be one of the DTs but they got such a great response that they had filled the spots but I got the chance to become their GDT and of course I said YES to that.

I still see myself as new to crafting and that I still have lots to learn, but which each day and card I make I think I learn something new, challenge myself on doing themes, different styles, different technics on each card I make. This will make me become an better crafted person. I will leave you with my card, and to never give up. Keep crafting and practicing and you will get better.

Anything Goes

Hello again,

Well you know it’s a new week and we have yet another challenge over at Monday Greetings Challenge, The Outlawz. This weeks challenge theme: Anything Goes – Love IT.

I do really like the Anything Goes because then you don’t have to follow a certain theme and do what ever you like to do.

This weeks sponsor is Aliciabel with this gorgeous image: Hada Mariposa. It was such a cute image to color. I really loved how it turned out. Why don’t you join in on the fun this week.

Rock on!!!

Another special card is done. This time it’s for a girl who likes rock, can you tell😉.  I got some information of the person receiving the card. She loves to travel, like rock music, like the color black and red, leather clothes and is my friends best friend. Världens bästa Fia means The worlds best Fia.

The stamp and background is from KennyK stamp.  The stamp is Vicki Lee Vicious Goth Girl. The background is Rooftop Skyline. I loved the background as well as the stamp.

While coloring it I was very scared that I would do a mistake and have to start over. I also didn’t know if I should make the stamps individual and mount the stamp to get a 3-D effect. I will do the background and stamp separate next time to get more depth in the card.

I have colored it with my Promarkers. I have mostly used the grey tones. I have used Warm Greys, Cool Greys, Warm Greys for the buildings as well as Buttercup, Primrose, Sunflower. The hair:  Henna, Chestnut, Walnut, Cocoa, Cinnamon. Skin: Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Blush. Lips: Crimson, Lipstick Red.  Top/Skirt/Socks: Crimson, Red, Poppy and Lipstick Red. Boots: Cool Grey 1-5. The sky I used: Buttercup, Gold, Mustard, Pastel Pink, Cocktail Pink, Tea Green, Grey Green, Powder Blue, Cornflower, Aegean, Azure, Sky Blue, Midnight Blue, Indigo Blue with a touch of Cool Grey 1 and stars with Diamond Stickles.  The hearts has silver ink with Black Promarkers on the edge.

There is a rock festival here in Sweden called Sweden Rock Festival therefor the Sweden Rock Rules on the wall is written and a festival this girl has visit in the past.
